【演出一】林強◎王伯宇 演出主題:仁 / Ren

林強
1990年開始音樂生涯。直到2000年這段期間,發行了一些個人專輯、參與電影演出、並當過DJ舉辦PARTY。
2000年後成立工作室,專心在電影與記錄片的工作上,並有少許的電視廣告配樂工作。從2004年開始用筆記型電腦創作並與VJ、電腦影像家、視覺藝術家做跨領域的結合。合作對象包括舞蹈家、畫家、裝置藝術家、古琴音樂家、廟會表演團體、偶戲表演者。先後到過中國、馬來西亞、新加坡、法國、瑞士做電腦影音的演出,也參與Creative Commons licenses 在台灣的推動。
Lim Giong started his music career in 1990. By the 2000, he had released several albums. During these ten years, he played different roles as an actor, a DJ and a party host. In 2000, he founded his own studio and dedicated himself in creating documentaries and film scores.Some TV commercial.
Since 2004 ,he uses his laptop to create music and cooperates with visual artists to do cross field combinations. He had collaborated with dancers, painters, computer programming installation artists, and guqin musicians(an ancient Chinese musical instrument), temple fair performers(a traditional folk celebration related to Buddhism or Taoism in Taiwan), hand puppet performers. He has been to China, Malaysia, Singapore, France and Switzerland to perform his musical and visual artworks by using multimedia equipments. Besides, he also gave an impetus to Creative Commons licenses in Taiwan.

從2005年至今不斷的嘗試一些有關於新媒體藝術的創作,擅長將錄像、動畫、互動裝置、網路等多媒體結合個人內心感受與概念加以呈現。時常運用聲音與光線創作意象來表現人與人之間關係的議題。
Since 2005 Po-Yu Wang has continued to try to arts creation. His works are integrated various digital media and concepts, such as video, animation, interactive installation, multimedia, and Internet art. Po-Yu Wang is working in Taiwan's largest interactive creative design company now

人與人之間的對待 夫婦的關係 上司與下屬的關係 父母與子女的關係 朋友的關係 都以仁做為基礎
仁也是仁愛之義 凡是人 皆需愛 人與人的關係都是以愛為基礎
仁也是果實的核仁富有生生不息之義
世界有仁 有愛 才能和睦相處 平等對待 互助合作 如此才能生生不息.
The theme of this performance is “Ren” (仁) which means benevolence. One can feels and sees solicitude toward humanity in these two international directors’ works. In Chinese, the meaning of ren is the relationship and the interaction between two people. The relationships between friends, husband and wife, supervisor and subordinate, parents and children are all base on ren. Ren also means love and philanthropy, and humans need love. The relationship between people is base on love. The other definition of ren is the kernel of fruit which means growing continuously. As long as we keep ren in our world, we can get along in peace, treat one another in fairness and help each other in sincerity so that the world can grow continuously.

此次林強將與視覺藝術家王伯宇合作 做數位多媒體的影音演出.
計劃邀請國際知名導演 侯孝賢.賈樟柯的影片做為影像素材
這二位國際導演的作品 處處展現人道的關懷
王伯宇將在他們的影片中重組、REMIX,賦予新的影像意境,詮釋出[仁]的風貌,林強將重新創作音樂,使用筆記型電腦控制演出並添加即興的創作元素.聲音與影像的交疊,邀我們進入sound bits 中 , 仁的世界。
For the show, Lim collaborates with Wang Bo-yu, a visual artist, working on a multimedia digital art piece with music and video together; meanwhile, Lim also invites worldwide famous directors~ Hou Hsiao-hsien and Jia Zhang-ke to provide their films as video sources, their works both have the main concern for humanity. In this collaboration, artist Wang restructures, deconstructs and remixes these film resources to interpret a state of humanity, the vision of “Ren”. And musician Lim recomposes his pieces first, conducting the performing elements~ sounds and video images with laptop in performance. Under the improvisational and spontaneous scene, you will immerse in a sound bits paradise,reaching the universe of “Ren”.

從電子電路到程式設計,IC晶片到演算法,繼電器到巢狀迴圈,這是一群不安於現成硬體和套裝軟體的藝術人,各自尋找及定義科技與創作的可能性。他們將在Sound Bits中和大家分享用電流和邏輯所構成的影像與聲響。
【演出二】王連晟 Wang Lien_cheng 演出主題:音樂製程 / Music processing

當人在面對大自然時,滿天的星斗,或是壯麗的瀑布,會不自覺的受到震撼,那是不需要經過學習或訓練的。我想,不只是影像,在聲音或是裝置方面是否也有這種不經過學習或訓練就可以感受的深刻體驗?關於這點是我近期內創作所感興趣的。
When people stay in the natural environment, Starring Night, or front of the waterfall, people will feel vibrated. This is a human instinct without through the process of learning or training. I am wondering, except image, if there is any impressed experience in sounds or devices(installations) like that without learning and traning? This is what I am interested in recently.
演出內容:
使用了processing以及Maxmsp等軟體,做即時的影像音樂操控,希望能在製程的途中,找到某種平衡,
對自我、觀眾、以及宇宙負責。
Useing some softwares such like Processing and Maxmsp
to do the realtime control of video and music.
I hope to find some kind of balance in the music making process
to be responsible for myself,audiences and Universe .
【演出三】矩陣先生 Mr. Matrix 演出主題:sonar

兩人目前皆在北藝大新媒體所(前科藝所)就讀中,
並且積極嘗試聲音與影像結合的各種可能。
Both are current graduate students of the Department of New Media Art, Taipei National University of the Arts. They are interested in exploring the possibilities of integrating sound and visual images.
演出內容:
聲納(sonar)是漆黑深海中的引導者,它利用聲波在水下傳播的特性,藉以測量距離及辨別方位,帶給人極大的安全感。本次創作將藉聲納的特質,激活在資訊爆炸年代裡、被過多刺激堵塞的我們的感官知覺,重塑遺失已久的感動。
Sonar is the guide in the dark and deep ocean. It helps us to measure the distance and direction to an object, which brings a sense of security to human beings. In the information explosion era, our senses are overloaded with too much information. Using sonar as a metaphor, this project is an exploratory journey to stimulate our numb senses, and to excite our long lost feelings.

陳惠娟(圓圓),1983年生,目前就讀元智大學資訊傳播所數位媒體設計組。興趣廣泛,目前對公共空間中的互動聲音裝置設計及文字+聲音有興趣。
Huei-chuan Chen(a.k.a. Yuen) is a postgraduate student majoring in digital media design.
My interest is wide and now concentrate on interactive muscial installation in public space.
木下晃德,1984生,中日混血,電子工程背景,目前在科技公司上班。對科技藝術、互動裝置、自由軟體、DIY有興趣。
Akinori Kinoshita, born in 1984, Taiwanese-Japanese mixed race. Trained in electrical engineering, currently working in technology company.
Akinori Kinoshita is interested in technology and art, interactive installation, free software and home brew devices.
演出內容:
每個人皆擁有獨一無二的生命歷程,經過人生的粹鍊,刻印在腦中的回憶更是不盡相同。本創作使用processing及pure data,用視覺及聽覺即時建構一處虛擬風景,藉此喚起每個人記憶深處最重要或是最想念的風景,於腦中甦醒。
Every individual has a unique life journey.Through life of training, the memories engraved in brain are different from each other.This creative work uses Processing and Pure Data.It constructs a virtual landscape by processing real-time video and audio in order to remind everyone about the missing memories and its importance by awaking each brain.
【演出五】姚仲涵 YAO,Chung-Han 演出作品:沒有光的噪音

1981生於台北,台灣活躍的新一代聲音藝術家。聲音組織「i/O」的發起人,隨後發起「南海啥聲」、「失聲祭」,由年輕藝術家自行串聯的藝術活動。
An active member of the new generation of sound artists in Taiwan. Born in Taipei in 1981,Works mostly with sound, while searching for the true connections between video, installation, space and various media.

【演出六】沈聖博+李駿 演出作品:相位差電音 No.3 / Phasing Techno No.3

沈聖博,1980年生,新生代數位藝術家。認為生活本身即是藝術,而人與人之間的許多活動是生活的成份, 這是最原型的互動形態,你我之間一定存在著至少一種互動媒介將你我連結起來。因此,擅於觀察並找出你我之間的隱性連結,並透過作品加以呈現。
Born in 1980, a digital artist.
I think the life itself is a kind of art, and many activities between people are the elements of life,
that is the basic prototype of interaction, there must be at least one interactive media between us to connect you and me.
Hence, I like to observe and find out the invisible connection between us, and present it through my art pieces.
李駿是一位數位藝術工作者。自從 2004 年起,他將創作完全投入於對於自由軟體在數位藝術上的研發及推廣。他是法國非營利新媒體藝術組織 GOTO10 的一員以及倫敦 OpenLab 創始者之一。他在許多相關藝術節演出以及自由軟體技術的教授,同時也在 2008 年取得 electronic/sonic arts 博士學位。
Chun Lee is a sound artist recently returned back to Taiwan. With a background in classical music, he became increasingly drawn into contemporary music and electronic arts. Since 2004, he has been focusing on using free software to to creative live music/sound performances, as well as real time animations. He is also an active member of GOTO10(a non-profit organisation) and Openlab(free software artist community both in London and Taipei).

相位差 / Phasing是Minimalist作曲家Steve Reich常用的作曲技巧,如他的clapping music作品。此次演出會將相位差用於聲音結構的表現,並佐以視覺呈現。無論聲音或視覺都以極簡元素組合出複雜的感官體驗.
Phasing is an well known compositional tecunique in Minimalist music, most notably by Steve Reich. This performance explores its possibility in the realm of musical structure, sound synthesis, and real time animation.
【演出七】王仲堃 WANG-Chung-Kun 演出作品:空.器 #P.3.1 / Kong.Qi #P.3.1

迴路與娃娃臉 虔誠的幽默信徒,專注在聲音與動力裝置的結合,秉持著一種接近宗教禁慾般的執著,他的每一項裝置總是令人同時有著迂迴與簡單的感覺,但簡單的聲音卻又必須通過複雜(且身體感極強)的迴路才能轉化出其意義;這種弔詭同樣出現在進行現場表演的他,沉靜的身體面對著複雜的裝置,然後轉化出他身體的聲音。代表性演出包括台北的《超響》、《i/O Second》與《失聲祭 Listen 4》,以及香港的《Sound From Taiwan》與杭州的《二皮音樂節》;2006、2007與2008年皆入選台北數位藝術節,2006年獲得世安美學獎的同時入選台北獎。重要聯展有《假動作》、《台北數位藝術節》與《台澳新媒體藝術展:Boom!快速與凝結─新媒體的交互作用》。

作品簡介:
此作品為「空.器」演出版,延續探討人的聲音知覺,除了用耳朵聆聽之外,是否還有其他可能?
聲音的產生來自震動,聲音的傳遞則必須經由特定的介質,「空氣」即是人類聽見聲響最主要的媒介。但我們可以在日常生活的許多經驗中發現,聲響的感受不只可以經由聽覺,如沙石車轟隆經過時的地板震動,如演唱會現場低頻音浪吹拂,全身都可以成為聲音傳遞的媒介。 直接使用空氣作為一種相較於聲音更有質量的感觸,給與親近的觀眾一種輕拂且幽默的攻擊。
This device is the performance version of “Kong.Qi”, which is created to find other possible ways to think the human’s sense toward sound apart from hearing.
Sound is produced from vibration, and is transmits through specific mediums, ‘air’ is the premier medium to human’s hearing, but, from daily life experience, we are able to find out we are able to sense the sound not only from hearing, when experiencing the ground shaking caused from a passing by heavy truck, as well the low frequency sound produced in the concert, our body can also be a medium to sound.
The idea is to use the air to produce a direct sense of feeling that is stronger than what the sound can offer along, and to give the audients a sort of smooth yet humour attack.
【演出八】 Stingrays –DJ 演出作品:吾聲 / SOUNDS LIKE ME

Stingrays 喜歡觀察,對有趣的人事物特別感興趣,由於在新加坡成長受到西方文化影響,於東西文化混融衝擊下,所投射在音樂創作上產生的對比顯而易見。
Stingrays 的音樂風格傾向非主流,音樂創作從聆聽性質的 house,一直到實驗性的 broken beats/techno,與能量高亢的 hard techno 無所不包。
工業與電音則是近來最能代表 Stingray 個人創作音樂風格的特徵,讓人聯想到一種空曠、冰冷、堅硬而無色調的氛圍,以及富含沉重壓力的機械工具質感。
International dj, innovative producer, founder of FLUID-MIX label, Stingrays emerged as a pioneering force in the underground electronic music scene in the early 90’s and has continued to be instrumental in the proliferation of electronic music on a global scale. His commitment to experimentation has earned him world-wide prestige as he endeavors to take the sounds of the underground to new and more accessible heights. Other than releasing materials on FLUID-MIX label, he also released a series of techno EPs on several world's most esteemed techno labels, and tracks on various mix CDs and compilations.
